AWF’s First 100 Years: Advocacy,  Restoration, and the Evolution of a Conservation Ethic

AWF Vice President Kristina Fisher and Projects Committee member Phil Carter will give a presentation about AWF’s 100 years of history, including the organization's origins and highlights of the advocacy and restoration activities that AWF members have participated in over the past century.

Phil Carter is the Wildlife and Equine Campaign Director for Animal Protection of New Mexico. He has been a member of the AWF Projects Committee since 2007. Kristina Fisher is the Associate Director of Think New Mexico and currently serves as AWF’s Vice-President. She has been an active member of AWF since 2009. 

Directions:
The Albuquerque Friends Meeting House is located at the corner of 5th and Bellamah. From I-40, take the 6th street exit, then South to Bellamah.

Our monthly meetings feature programs with guest speakers on a variety of topics. Meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the second Thursday of every month (except July), at Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center, 501 Elizabeth SE, in Albuquerque. Refreshments are served, and visitors are always welcome to attend.
