        _Projects Committee

        The Projects Committee determines location, date, and activities of each project, coordinates with partner organizations, and arranges for necessary materials and equipment. The committee advertises project details and provides directions to project site; provides snacks and drinks for events; for weekend outings, additionally provides and prepares Saturday breakfast and potluck dinner main course.

        Additional responsibilities include welcoming participants and presenting safety talk and explanation of project tasks, providing “quality control inspection” of work in progress, and taking photographs.

        Communications Committee

        The Communications Committee produces the monthly AWF Newsletter to members and other interested parties, designs brochures for AWF, develops display materials and promotional items, arranges for displays at appropriate venues to promote AWF, and maintains the AWF website.

        Wildlife Issues Committee

        The Wildlife Issues Committee (WIC) is an advisory group which reports to the AWF Board, identifying media reports, proposed legislation, and input from other conservation and related groups affecting wildlife and habitat. The Committee evaluates positive and negative impacts of issues and presents draft position statements to the Board for review and approval.

        The WIC also keeps track of land use planning on New Mexico Public Lands, plan development schedules, and planning issues affecting wildlife and habitat.


        Programs Committee

        The Program Committee arranges presentations for AWF’s monthly general membership meeting, provides for AV needs and sets up meeting room, and supplies refreshments for attendees, as well as setting up display board, copies of newsletters and brochures, and other materials.
