Wildlife Issues Committee
Larry Dwyer - Chair
The Wildlife Issues Committee (WIC) is an advisory group which reports to the AWF Board, identifying media reports, proposed legislation, and input from other conservation and related groups affecting wildlife and habitat. The Committee evaluates positive and negative impacts of issues and presents draft position statements to the Board for review and approval.
The WIC also keeps track of land use planning on New Mexico Public Lands, plan development schedules, and planning issues affecting wildlife and habitat.
The Program Committee arranges presentations for AWF’s monthly general membership meeting, provides for AV needs and sets up meeting room, and supplies refreshments for attendees, as well as setting up display board, copies of newsletters and brochures, and other materials.
